To Download Personal Capture, first enable Echo360 Cloud in your Canvas or Blackboard course: 
Echo360 Cloud in Canvas:
  • NOTE: It's recommended to first enable Echo360 Cloud in a Canvas course before attempting to publish recordings to the course. 

  • Teachers can enable Echo360 Cloud in their course by adding it to the course menu.
    • 1) Go into the course in Canvas where you want to use Echo360 and click on the "Settings" button located on the course menu
    • 2) Click on the "Navigation" tab at the top
    • 3) Locate "Echo360 Cloud" on the list of pages hidden from students, and click the "Gear" icon
    • 4) Click "Enable" and then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Save"
    • 5) On the course menu, locate and click on "Echo360 Cloud"
    • 6) Click on "Link Content" to complete the setup 


Echo360 Cloud in Blackboard:
  • NOTE: It's recommended to first enable Echo360 Cloud in a Blackboard course before attempting to publish recordings to the course. 

  • Instructors can enable Echo360 Cloud in their course by linking the course to Echo360 Cloud. 
    • 1) Go to the course in Blackboard where you want to use Echo360, click on the "Tools" button located on the blue menu bar.  
    • 2) Scroll down on the page and click on the "Echo360 Cloud" tool  
    • 3) Click on "Link Content" to complete the setup


                                                        




Download the new Personal Capture software:
    • We highly recommend you first uninstall the "old" version of Personal Capture before downloading/installing the new Echo360 Cloud Personal Capture.  

    • If you haven't already, enable Echo360 Cloud in your Canvas or Blackboard Course.
      You will need to enable Echo360 Cloud in order to download the new Personal Capture software. 

    •  Go to the course in Canvas or Blackboard where you enabled Echo360 Cloud, click on "Echo360 Cloud" (Canvas: located on the course menu / Blackboard: located on the Tools page), and wait for the page to load. 
      • 1) Click on the Gear icon 
      • 2) Click on Downloads 
      • 3) Select Personal Capture for Mac or PC

ADVANCED FEATURES:
Add an"Echo360 Cloud" tool link to your course menu in Blackboard:
    • Go to the course in Blackboard where you want to add "Echo360 Cloud" to the course menu 
      • 1) Mouse over the "+" button located in the upper left corner on the blue course menu bar 
      • 2) On the drop down menu, click on "Tool Link" button
      • 3) Enter "Echo360 Cloud" into the "Name" field 
      • 4) Click on the "Type" drop down menu and select "Echo360 Cloud" from the list 
      • 5) Click the "Available to Users" button to allow students to see this link on the course menu
      • 6) Click "Submit" to add the Echo360 Cloud tool link to your course menu

      • 3) Enter "Echo360 Cloud" into the "Name" field 
      • 4) Click on the "Type" drop down menu and select "Echo360 Cloud" from the list 
      • 5) Click the "Available to Users" button to allow students to see this link on the course menu
      • 6) Click "Submit" to add the Echo360 Cloud tool link to your course menu

Share your recordings with students outside of Blackboard and Canvas:
    • Student can access published recordings outside of Blackboard and Canvas. 
      • 1) Students must use their NetID and password and "Login" through the echo360.georgetown.edu website  
      • 2) The Echo360 Cloud "dashboard" will show students a list of their courses using Echo360 
      • 3) Students can either click on the "All Classes" button next to the course name, or click the "Courses" drop down menu to see published recordings. 
      • 4) The list of recordings for that class will now appear. Clicking on the name of the recording will start video playback.
